We are a diverse group of young students in the Middle East who started an independent (self-managed and self-funded) network called MideastYouth.com

Our mission is to inspire and provide young people with the freedom and opportunity of expression, and promote a fierce but respectful dialogue among the highly diverse youth of all sects, socio-economic backgrounds, and political and religious beliefs in the Middle East. We use this freedom to create social change and to prove that the collaboration necessary for stability is possible.

In its short life, it has received attention from media inside and outside the region, received the prestigious Berkman Award for Internet innovation from Harvard Law School, founded an independent media group in Afghanistan, and spearheaded a number of regional human rights campaigns. All of these things were accomplished by tireless volunteers with a minimum of funding.

Now we seek your help to take our network to another level.

MideastYouth.com right now is working on its media section of the site. We create comics, short films, and translate them into languages like Farsi, Arabic, Kurdish, and we are raising some money to make this possible.

Once the money is raised, you will be able to see the process of your help directly at our site.
