Create a video for "God Sufficeth" by Badasht, post it on Youtube and get 25,000 plays and you will win $1,000.00.
Lyrical content is from the Bahai Writings so the video must have spiritual-related content. Though a lot of things may apply to "spiritual-related" content, there are clearly some things that do not. If you have any questions please feel free to post a comment on this Bounty site and we'll respond.
You can download the song "God Sufficeth" here for free from Amity Records.

Got an idea, but want to get some feedback first...
I'm in a Mixed Martial Art ("Spirit Martial Arts"). It's different in that it's focused on Christian philosophy. I was thinking this would be a perfect song for a sweet Martial Arts video... you know: Slow motion kicks, fading in and out of inspirational spiritual sayings (from Christian writings and ancient Christian philosophers), etc. My question is whether or not this spiritual-oriented concept would be appropriate being that the theme is ALSO Martial Arts and pretty much only Christian themes. Does the video's theme SOLELY have to revolve around "spiritual-related," with no assimilation of exclusively Christian themes? (Silly question, but I want to make sure before I put 15 hours of work into this video).Thank you very much!

Sorry for doubting, by I've been 'had' before in the past.
Thanks again and btw: awesome idea for a contest,
-Beau C.
Wait. One more question...
Being that this is the internet and anonymously posting something with no real intention of following through is, sadly, quite common: What guarantee do users have that 25,000 plays = $1,000?Sorry for doubting, by I've been 'had' before in the past.
Thanks again and btw: awesome idea for a contest,

Thanks for the comment. The guarantee you have is that the money's already on the table! Any time somebody puts up a Bounty they do so with real dollars. So meet the criteria for fulfilling the Bounty and its yours. Any questions you have are asked and answered right here on this site just like you and I have done.
Sometimes the metric of success is subjective like, "The criteria for the video that closes the Bounty is that it needs to make me smile a lot," in which case its up to the person that put up the bounty. In this particular case Amity Records defined the success metric of the Bounty as 25,000 plays. That is objective and can't be disputed. If you have any questions make sure you ask them on this public forum and the owner of the Bounty (Amity Recrods) can answer them.
Thanks you!!!

Thanks for your interest in the Bounty! I think a focus on Christian philosophy is just fine. The main thing that we wanted to avoid is anything vulgar or offensive.
"Spiritual-related content" can have such a wide range of interpretations and we realize its quite a subjective term, but we just wanted to make a general appeal for it to be respectful material that people won't find offensive.
I suppose in your case there is tremendous beauty in Martial Arts, especially when it is carried to perfection. It is almost like a dance, however to be specific if that dance involved beating the crap out of people and taking heads off, I'd probably stay away from that! 8-) But judging by the tone of your questions I don't imagine your video would involve harsh violence.
Thank you so much again, I hope this answered your question and we REALLY look forward to checking out the video.

Bringing Awareness
Hello this song is inspirational, I felt faith and overcoming challenges from the words and I hope what I used from footage I had with some of my friends work with it. I'm really trying to be a vessel to help others like myself be seen in the media, the contest was just a door to show our lives and hopefully share their dreams with the world. I truly see a victory in making dreams come true despite the many tv station not interested on a show filled with lives challenged, good luck to the other videos, God blessProfessir X

Everyone can watch my Say God Sufficeth video at http://GodSufficeth.com
Todd, via Fed Ex I sent you a DVD of the video as I promised I would. It's visually striking on a big screen. Maybe you can use it at Badasht concerts.
Finally my marketing skills pay off!

I made a Badasht video. Got 25,000 plus plays. I submitted the form to collect the bounty. I've emailed several times since my January 2nd post but haven't heard back. Can you let me know when I'll receive the $1000? Thanks.

Refusal To Pay Bounty
Todd Khozein of Amity Records and Joshua McKenty of Bounty Up are refusing to pay the prize money claiming YouTube is investigating a violation by me of YouTube's terms & service. They claim YouTube contacted them but offer no proof of either claim. To my knowledge my YouTube account is in good standing.

RE: Refusal To Pay Bounty
See the screenshot of Yeliad's website yuks.com on the Mimosa video bounty for more information. We are waiting on the conclusion of YouTube's investigation into the Badasht video specifically to resolve this conflict - if no active contestants object, we may temporarily suspend this contest to rework the bounty criteria to something less vulnerable to tactics in violation of various terms of service. Thoughts?

Still going?
So is this contest still going? Was there a change in the rules or anything because of Yeliad's situation? Also, the content he used were mostly paintings of other artists. Because they are not original wouldnt that also disqualify him? If not, can we use pretty much any content (as long as its appropriate) for the creation of a video?(Log in or register to comment.)
